A fantastic visit to Chengdu and the World Heritage National Parks up in the mountains around 10,000ft was very much enjoyed in mid-October 2007. The autumn colours being particularly spectacular. Then we met the Giant Pandas, and their much smaller cousins the Red Pandas, at the Chengdu Scientific Establishment where they were being very successfully bred, usually producing twins. But still needing to eat only a particular species of bamboo.
